If the gates do not open for any reason, it may be due to several factors. Below are several steps to help identify a solution to the problem. Begin with the first step and proceed sequentially through the steps until the issue has been resolved.
Troubleshooting steps
Step 1: Check that there is power to the gate
Step 2: Check that the motor key switch is turned on
Step 3: Press the test button on the main PCB on each gate
Step 4: Press the test button on Gatemaster board of the master gate
Step 5: Check connections of GateCOM cable by checking for the Saloon LED on the main PCB
Step 6: Check the potentiometer settings
Step 7: Check the dipswitch settings
Step 8: Bypass Entrapment board
Step 9: Check the Gatemaster board, any LED diodes that is/isn't active
Step 10: Check cable chain assembly
If none of the above steps resolve the issue, the defective component must be identified and replaced.
